Looking Forward To...(75)

There are so many amazing books already on the shelves and new ones coming out.

For a list of books yet to be released I'm looking to get, you can also look on my right Sidebar at the ever growing list titled Desired Reads - just scroll down. Of course there are tones of other new books to come out that are amazing as well, but these ones are part of series I have already started or for one reason or another caught my eye (and haven't seen much on other blogs yet). But I will highlight one here each week.

(mentioned in order of Release Date then Alphabetical if there are more than one book coming out on the same date.)

Next Book Is...

Inheritance
Inheritance #4
By:  Christopher Paolini
Due Out:  November 8, 2011

Yes, this one is out.  I got behind in my dates with to many books in one month on the list.  But that's okay.  I've pre-ordered this one.  I started reading when I started this series.  It kind of got me into books.  And I enjoyed them.  So I want to know how it all ends.  I need to read this one.

Goodreads Synopsis:
Not so very long ago, Eragon—Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider—was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.

Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.

The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaƫsia? And if so, at what cost?

This is the much-anticipated, astonishing conclusion to the worldwide bestselling Inheritance cycle.

  1. I read the first one but never went back. I did enjoy it, just didn't have time. *sigh*

I also saw a huge product promo for these books in Wal-Mart!

  4. I got as far as halfway through the third novel before I gave up. I enjoyed the first, but Eregon just didn't grow as a character, IMHO--just got more whiny and annoying. And by the third book, where he spends 20 pages going on and on about how bored he is...well, I got bored too.

I'll be looking forward to your review here to see if the last book got any better!

  5. Melissa (Books&Things) - Yes, I hear you on the time thing. I got this one, but not sure when I'll be able to dig in with review books and all. :) Hope you get to the rest of the cycle some day. :) Thank you!

Melliane - Oh, I loved the first book and enjoyed the second too. The third was a little bit...slower? But I have to finish out the series. I'm curious to see where we go in the end.

Alexia - lol. The series can creep up on you like that. Hope you get to enjoy the cycle one day. Thank you!

Lori Strongin - The third book did have a slow pacing to it, and Eragan was... yeah, whiny. I had to get this book to finish off the series though. I just have to know where we end up. ;D Thank you!
