Sunday Post #62

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share new about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

~~~~~~~~~~
I'm exhausted! This month before school starts is crazy with all that we have going on and kiddo with football. I'm late getting this post up today because it was constant on the go this weekend.
I apologize for the lack of me being around last week. Kiddo had evening practices and I don't get home until late, and I'm ready for bed. We'll have another week like this in two weeks too. I am soooo hoping when school starts we get on a routine where I have me time again.
But in exciting news, I'm planning on being around a lot this week. See, it's my blog birthday celebration week! :D I hope you visit all week!
Okay, now it's time for me to get my contacts out and try to relax. Oh, and I have to get a load of laundry done for work this week. Take care!
I'm looking for Blogs to join me with posting Author Guest Posts for Skyla Dawn Cameron  -- I have a amazing author friend that is doing a book tour. It's for guest posts by her only. If you'd like to join (I'm hoping you will. ;) ) please let me know. It's a Werewolf turned human book with a Young Adult vibe to it with being in high school.
Evolution: HEX by S.A. Huchton
Goodreads Synopsis:
A lie is a prison without bars.
A captive of the enemy, Candace is forced to confront mistakes and regrets from both sides of the battlefield, including her own. Nothing is simple, and lines in the sand that were once clear have become blurred and indistinguishable. Even the unlikely love she found teeters on the edge of uncertainty.
The truth is not always what it seems, and can be a prison of its own.
Alone, she must decide where she stands. Alone, she must decide who to trust.
When the smoke clears, what's left might not be much…
But it might be enough.
Bound by Prophecy by Melissa Wright
Goodreads Synopsis:
Twenty-two-year-old Aern is done watching his brother destroy the only thing that matters. He never wanted to take Morgan’s place among council, never wanted to rule their hidden world. But when the key to the prophecy is found, a young girl named Brianna whom Morgan will destroy, Aern knows he has to take action.
What he really wants, is for things to go back to normal. But now he’s kidnapped a girl, and his brother’s men are after him. His only hope is to join with the Division, but they have plans of their own, and it’s the last thing Aern is willing to do.
Emily just wants her sister back. She doesn't care about the prophecy, or realize what’s at stake. But when she goes after Aern, the truth of the matter uncoils, and Brianna isn't the only one who’s in danger.
Suddenly, they’re at the center of a secret war, and unless they can work together, they’ll both have a sacrifice too big to make.
The Chimera Vector: The Fifth Column 1 by Nathan M. Farrugia
Goodreads Synopsis:
The Fifth Column: the world’s most powerful and secretive organization. They run our militaries. They run our governments. They run our terrorist cells.
Recruited as a child, Sophia is a deniable operative for the Fifth Column. Like all operatives, Sophia’s DNA has been altered to augment her senses and her mind is splintered into programmed subsets.
On a routine mission in Iran something goes catastrophically wrong. Bugs are beginning to appear in Sophia’s programming and the mission spins out of control.
High-speed chases, gun fights, helicopter battles, immortal psychopaths, super soldiers and mutant abilities are all in the mix in this edge-of-your-seat action-packed techno-thriller.
Perfect for fans of Matthew Reilly, THE CHIMERA VECTOR melds sci-fi with sizzling espionage action.
  2. Bound by Prophecy is lurking on my ereader at the moment. I read a short story by the author which included the first chapters of this book and it sounded interesting enough to grab it as a free download. Hope we both like it!
