Book Chat Schedule...with Silver-Tongued Devil by Jaye Wells

I did do a Flash Fiction Friday last week.  In case you would like to stop by to read it.

My WANT List...well, hard to believe I only added 5 books.  I had really thought I added more than that. Hm.  Oh well.

Received Last Week:
Purchased:
Goodreads Synopsis:
Drafted to work for the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid, mercenary Kate Daniels has more paranormal problems these days than she knows what to do with. And in Atlanta, where magic comes and goes like the tide, that's saying a lot.

But when Kate's werewolf friend Derek is discovered nearly dead, she must confront her greatest challenge yet. As her investigation leads her to the Midnight Games- an invitation only, no-holds-barred, ultimate preternatural fighting tournament- she and Curran, the Beast Lord, uncover a dark plot that may forever alter the face of Atlanta's shapeshifting community.

Free on Nook:
These 2 were a deal for last week.  I don't know if these are still going on, if you want go check Barnes & Nobles!
Goodreads Synopsis:
Some secrets are dangerous. This Secret is deadly.

Secret McQueen, Book 1
For Secret McQueen, her life feels like the punch line for a terrible joke. Abandoned at birth by her werewolf mother, hired as a teen by the vampire council of New York City to kill rogues, Secret is a part of both worlds, but belongs to neither. At twenty-two, she has carved out as close to a normal life as a bounty hunter can.
When an enemy from her past returns with her death on his mind, she is forced to call on every ounce of her mixed heritage to save herself—and everyone else in the city she calls home. As if the fate of the world wasn’t enough to deal with, there’s Lucas Rain, King of the East Coast werewolves, who seems to believe he and Secret are fated to be together. Too bad Secret also feels a connection with Desmond, Lucas’s second-in-command…
Warning: This book contains a sarcastic, kick-ass bounty hunter; a metaphysical love triangle with two sexy werewolves; a demanding vampire council; and a spicy seasoning of sex and violence.

Goodreads Synopsis:
Jazz can't decide whether to scorch him with a fireball or jump into bed with him.

Jasmine Tremaine, a witch who can't stay out of trouble.
Nikolai Gregorivich, a drop-dead gorgeous vampire cop on the trail of a serial killer.
The sizzling love affair between Jazz and Nick has been off-again, on-again-for about 300 years. Mostly off, lately. But now Nick needs Jazz's help, and while Jazz and Nick try to figure out their own hearts and resist their ever-increasing attraction, they must steer clear of a maniacal killer with super-supernatural powers. They are surrounded by a hilarious cast of oddball paranormal characters, including Irma, the chain-smoking ghost who haunts Jazz's sports car, Dweezil, her ghoul of a boss, and Fluff and Puff, a pair of bunny slippers with sharp teeth and short tempers (watch your ankles)!

These are free books available, from what I could tell, for free always:
Goodreads Synopsis:
Rasi hates his mountainous exile almost as much as he hates the man who banished him there. "Love, Death, and Loneliness" takes a peek into one of Rasi's days in his brutal solitude. His memories of a time gone by is all he has left to survive the loneliness. And now, even those memories are more than he can take.

Goodreads Synopsis:
The sorceress Lusiradrol, exiled to human form thousands of years earlier from her life as the black dragon, has awakened her Red Clan. Only one being can unite all who serve the Light, but he is not ready. Lusiradrol will do all she can to prevent his return by ending the life of the woman who bears his spirit and his power. No man nor mage will stop her in her quest to destroy the world.

Goodreads Synopsis:
On a world far far away, where cute things eat computers and the sky is emerald green, a small team of scientists struggles to save the planet and their own careers by mixing genetic engineering and Arthurian legend. Too bad they had forgotten the first rule of planet exploration: Nature always has the last laugh.

So, I think that's it for last week.  Phew.

Now for this week coming?  Well, I'm going to try to have a good week.  I'll get half-way through Silver-Tongued Devil before Thursday, and then start into the third Lodestone book.  I'm hoping to finish it by end of the weekend.  Ha.  We shall see what happens.

How does your week look?

Here's wishing you all the best in words and pages.

  1. Regarding your growing TBR pile on your Nook...I do just want to say I told you so LOL. (My Kindle TBR is up to 69. My folder with "free-maybe-I'll-read-eventually is around 80. God help me.)

  2. Ha ha ha! Yes Skyla you sure did worn me. LOL! I look at it this way, they at least aren't books I have to read, and no one really knows I have them (well, now they do, but they'll forget) so I can read them in about 8 years from now. ;D But I enjoy collecting. I swear it's an addiction!

  3. I see it as hoarding in case of emergency. You know...extra cans of soup and water bottles in the pantry...a hundred books on your ereader... There could be a drought! Or a zombie invasion! ;-)

  4. I use to say I was preparing for the end of the world with the books I was collecting, but now with the ereader... I just hope we don't lose power!!! Then I'd be SOL, not being able to charge and get to them. If those zombies block out the power lines I'm doomed!!! LOL!
