**I listened to this story for my own enjoyment.

My Thoughts and Summary:
It's Friday night, the weekend starts for Morgan and she's on the prowl. Morgan spends hours searching for a consenting "share" partner that meets her standards. She's not having any luck. She hears a cry for help one layer below her, on the ground level. Morgan jumps down to save the homeless girl from three vampires strongly pursuing her and not following the set rules they are to live by.

Oo! I listened to this story, and the sultry voice of Leanne Mabry fits the feel of Morgan perfectly!

We meet Morgan in Welcome to the City. She's the morgue examiner.

We see a vampires senses heightened and feeling from Morgan's POV. So much to learn about vampires! Their eyes, even have an affect on Morgan if she looks into her own eyes in the mirror. We see, or hear, what she sees when eye contact is made.

Morgan is a character all of her own. She's a perfectionist. Even when things are off a centimeter, she has to fix it. She's meticulous! Morgan has morals and follows rules to the letter, which fits with her OCD of perfect. Morgan, even though a vampire, has a thinking and care about her that sticks out and is felt by those around her. This is shown by the ease at which the homeless girl, Kelly, takes to Morgan and trusts her.

Being the second novella in this world, I'm seeing the characters are here to help those in this magical city. I have a feeling more danger is to come, but I'm liking the kindness I'm seeing in a world that could easily be beyond dangerous - especially for mundane humans.

Morgan finds more on this night, a night she can't find a meal, than she had expected.

I'm enjoying learning more and more of this city and the magic that's wrapping it. On I go with more listens!
