who...Where...WHAT?

This is a new meme I am hoping to start doing.

What they are doing?
Why not Showcase Characters in Wondrous lands and the amazing things they do?

Do you have times when you say "Why did they do that?" whether good or bad.
OR even "Wow!" or "What did they do?"
The what could be a question or something surprising or even shocking.
Then we have the times where the characters have done something you like or even don't like.

This can help me show case these few times or even to share something different (in the world I'm in) to share a strength of a character.

WHO:
Ferro, the only female of the group, from the south where the Gurkish are what she hates.

WHERE:
Currently in the great flat plain as crossing to the Edge of the World, Westward, with a crew of specially picked men for the seed.

WHAT:
She has amazingly accurate aim with the bow and arrow and her cat keen-like eyes.  She can take down a flying bird high in the air straight above her, perfectly... neatly killed in order to be cooked up for dinner.  A shot that even the best could not have done.  The arrow was expected by others to come back down and hit one of them or one of their horses.

There is something different and special about this woman.  She is very interesting and strange with what she can do.

  1. You have me curious now to learn more about Ferro. And what exactly is meant by "specially picked men for the seed", I wonder? Very intriguing!

Stop by my blog when you have a chance, as I have an award for you!

  2. Alexia - Thanks! I didn't know if this meme would come out right. But after I read your comment I realized I forgot to put the name of the book. So, I added it at the bottom of the post - Before They Are Hanged By Joe Abercrombie. But, I do have to say - that line now doesn't sound quite right. LOL It wasn't meant that way. The seed is what the mage is calling the powerful stone which holds power to the other side. :D Thanks! I will have to stop by later today to your blog. Thank you!

  3. It's an interesting meme. But I have to say... leave the horses alone! ;)

What way was it meant??? Hmm....? ;) LOL

  4. Melissa - :D Thanks. They didn't think she could hit the bird and was afraid they or one of the horses would get hurt. Not wanting to get hurt, but was afraid the arrow wouldn't make its mark and fall back down on them. Thanks, I am going to think harder on this...I think. ;)

  6. Ryan - This was my favorite out of the trilogy so far. I'm not sure about this meme though. I'll give it another try and see what happens. Thank you for stopping by! I really appreciate it.
