Monday's Beginnings (37)

Here we are again... another Monday.

How are you faring in reading at the beginning of this week?  Are you starting a new book or finishing one up?

I am currently working on Lord of the Changing Winds By Rachel Neumeier.  I am hoping to finish it up here tonight, and have the review up for you in a day or two.  AND I have an extra copy of Lord of the Changing Winds by Rachel Neumeier here as well, so that means a contest. :)  I need to get back to Before They Are Hanged by Joe Abercrombie as well.  I think I am going to have to do that this week as well.

I did get my review of Tiger Eye: The Curse of the Riddle Box by Marjorie M. Liu up.  If you would like to read the review of this PC Game, which I enjoyed, click here.

As for my Wish list... yes, it is still growing by leaps and bounds.  I have added 11 books that I want to Goodreads.  I am sooo in trouble with getting books done. :)  But, I am loving it.  And I think the authors should be happy with you all as well.

Don't forget I am still having my 100 Followers giveaway!  Entries taken until May 15, 2010.  So, don't delay in entering. Click the blinking 100 on your screen.

Books I received this week:

I won Garden of the Moon by Steven Erikson with this wonderful cover from Fantasy Literature.  Thank you!

Well, I didn't get as much reading done yet today.  But I am hoping to get some reading done here tonight.

So, now to you... How are you faring this week so far?  Does it look like a good reading week for you?

Here is to hoping you have a great week in words and pages.

  1. Playing the game too much? :) Looks like you had a good week and you are going into another good one. I'm still waiting on a couple of books that need to come ASAP. :( Otherwise, I'm getting to other books I thought I'd had to read later on in the month. So, I THINK I'm ahead. *crosses fingers*

  2. LOL, I add books to my TBR list on Goodreads like there's no tomorrow all the time. Usually in insane batches of several dozen books at a time. It's like my list of shame, but I love finding new books to read too. :D Good luck with getting some reading done! I'm at the moment bouncing around between about three books, not good. XD

  3. Melissa - :D You busted me. :D I have been playing the game too much. I'm hoping to get through a good bit this week. I am needing my Urban Fantasy fix too, so I am going to have to sneak one in quickly at the end of the week here. I hope you get the books you are waiting on. Hope you have a great week as well. :)

Anna - That Goodreads list is growing quickly! But it is nice to add them there than to carry the piece of papers I was carrying with me and adding to. It does seem like a list of shame, as I want them so much but can't seem to get to them all. :) Three books! That would be hard for me. I can do two at times. Have a great week!

  5. Congratulations on winning Gardens of the Moon! And just in time for all the different discussions that are taking place :) I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I've actually been sneaking in some romance reading lately, something that I haven't done in a while. I've been feeling a little down recently and romances usually help cheer me up. After that I'll tackle some of the awesome books I have waiting for me on my shelves.

  6. Blueicegal - Hi! Thank you! I will have to stop by and read your Kiss and Tell meme. I am getting ready to go read in a few, but I will stop by to read it. :) Hope you have a great week.

Simcha - Thank you. :) I don't know if I am going to make it to Gardens of the Moon this month. I was hoping to, but I want to read Warded Man, finish Before Thay Are Hanged and I have a book to show up here in a few days for review for the author. I will definitely have to find the discussions though and read through them and comment. When I get there I will definitely let you know, that way if you want to discuss it with me we can go over it. Hope you are feeling a little more up after your romance reads. :) Will you do a review for it? I'm curious to see what one you read and what you thought of it. Hope you have a great week!

  7. Well I'm trying to finish up a review book I started late last week. I should be receiving a tour book for a blog tour on the 20th and that will be my next goal this week. I will say I had a great reading week last week. I finished up 2 books and one audiobook. Best week I've had in quite some time.

    Happy reading this week.

  8. The romances have helped (nothing like some romance and a few happy endings to pick up one's spirit) though I don't think I will be reviewing them on my blog. It was fun to just read something for the sake of reading, and without having to give it any further thought afterward. You know, just an occasional book fling :)

  9. Simcha - I do understand, book flings are always fun. Glad to hear it helped raise your spirits some. :)
