Looking Forward To...(97)

There are so many amazing books already on the shelves and new ones coming out.

For a list of books yet to be released I'm looking to get, you can also look on my right Sidebar at the ever growing list titled Desired Reads - just scroll down. Of course there are tones of other new books to come out that are amazing as well, but these ones are part of series I have already started or for one reason or another caught my eye (and haven't seen much on other blogs yet). But I will highlight one here each week.

(mentioned in order of Release Date then Alphabetical if there are more than one book coming out on the same date.)

Next Book Is...

An Apple for the Creature
Anthology with several worlds and authors
Edited by:  Charlaine Harris & Toni L.P. Kelner
Due Out:  September 4, 2012

This book was shown to me by my fellow book chatter, Robyn from the Bookoholic Zone.  She found that Ilona Andrews has a story in this that is from Julies POV.  Yes!  I can't wait to get this one. :)

Goodreads Synopsis:
What could be scarier than the first day of school? How about An Apple for the Creature, an all-new anthology from the editors of Home Improvement: Undead Edition? Your worst school nightmares—taking that math test you never studied for, finding yourself naked in school assembly, not knowing which door to enter—pale in comparison to these thirteen stories that take academic anxiety to whole new realms. In #1 New York Times bestselling author Charlaine Harris’s story, “Playing Possum,” Sookie Stackhouse brings enough birthday cupcakes for her nephew’s entire kindergarten class but finds she’s one short when a deranged gunman shows up. For those who like fangs with their forensics, New York Times bestselling author Nancy Holder offers “VSI,” in which an FBI agent is tested as never before in a school for Vampire Scene Investigation. And in New York Times bestselling author Thomas Sniegoski’s “The Bad Hour,” Remy Chandler and his dog Marlowe find evil unleashed in an obedience school. You’ll need more than an apple to stave off the creatures in these and ten other stories. Remember your first lesson: resistance is fruitless!
