My Thoughts and Summary:
*I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Emerson Hardy feels to fit the story with his voice. It works for the comic book feel of the world and story. I had an easy time listening to him. The audio was clean and clear as well. The story is from Richard's POV and Emerson feels to fit Richard's personality.

Richard becomes Nobody... Wow. That's a tough blow to live through. One day you are living your life and the next... well, your life is completely gone. Richard handles all this better than I would.

We have a few characters we see throughout the book. Dr. Knowbokov is the, as you probably guessed, the mad scientist. Although, he's the good guy! Maybe? LOL! He has some crazy ideas and schemes in the works. But he wants to stop his arch enemy, Rex Monday, so he can continue to save the world. It's comes out as to why he so badly wants to save the world, which helps with a few things to click into place. The dynamic of the characters Dr. Knowbokov and Rex Monday are interesting. There are the doctor's daughters too - Rail Blade and Thrill. These ladies are a set as well. They have their struggles in life and have a bit to live through.

The story... I feel bad for Richard with how his life changes. But he seems to adapt well... for the most part. He goes to look in on the woman that was his wife in another life. Richard works through the events and he has to accept who he now is and the life he has. He has new paths he can take in his life now. But, Richard was just a common man living his life so being a superhero is a work in progress for him.

The story was enjoyable with the comic book feel to it. There were some expected twists to the characters to go with the comic book feel, but a few nice little leads into other directions too. If you want a superhero story with a comic book feel, this is a cool one to pick up.

Richard has to find a new way to go about living or a way to return to the life he had. Which way will things turn out? Richard starts to see what he really wants, and eventually goes for it.
