Sunday Post #164

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share new about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I missed last weeks Sunday Post, again. I seem to be on the every other week schedule these days. We spent the day on Saturday (before - last week) at kiddo's college of choice. We got to talk to more people and have an idea what to expect in the future. More college visits, it seems. lol.
With college visits and trying to find a routine it's been a bit crazy. I've been working on editing stuff and trying to get out to cut grass and kiddo's college stuff and finish taxes and and and. Yeah. It's been a full to do list here. Memorial weekend and graduation will be upon us before we know it and then things should calm a little...I hope.
And I'm late getting the post up today. I forgot Easter was coming until it was upon us. Happy Easter to all that celebrate.
The Fit Booker:
Goal:  Workout in any form of exercise (or on Wii Fit) 2x's a week. (to feel better and hope to drop a few pants sizes)
How did I do last week... Ugh. My memory is on the fritz. I'm going to pass on trying to remember. I know I've been doing well with walks, cutting grass, and working out at the gym.
Reviews:
Timekeeper by Tara Sim
"I love the magic of the clock towers... The romance is a sweet draw that I really enjoyed... We get a mystery as well. There are a few elements that make us curious."
Feedback Loop by Harmon Cooper
"I enjoyed the humor in some of Quantum's quick clips and comments. This was entertaining to listen to. I had a feel of a few different blends in this creation. Fantasy, 1950's, Matrix, and more. I enjoyed this story to the end and look forward to seeing Quantum get stronger and venture in the virtual world again to help more people."
Forgotten by Frances Pauli
"It all comes together in the end. I felt like so much was here! At the ending, last about two hours, I didn't want to do anything else but listen to all the information and details of how things worked out."
A Spell of Trouble by Leighann Dobbs & Traci Douglass
"The best way to solve a mystery is dig in, ask questions, and keep thinking when a suspect doesn't pan out at first try. It may lead you to the true culprit. And Issy does just this."
To keep her family’s dangerous secrets Masie is forced into a lie that will change the course of her future—and leave her trapped in a gilded cage of her own making. As she watches her world fall apart, Masie must decide whether to take her place in the hierarchy, or spread her wings, leaving the people she loves, and the life she despises, far behind her.
Gargoyle protection grudgingly extends to any human who can make it inside the Sanctuary, but the power of the stonecutter blood magic, which protects the sanctuary, may not be enough when a rogue grotesque and his badly-wounded ward arrive.
All the hounds of hell are on their heels. The last Sanctuary is about to fall.
Not for long.
The Earth Republic is looking for the most dangerous individuals it can control. The best of the worst, and Abbey happens to be one of them. The deal is simple: Bring back the starships, earn your freedom. Try to run, you die. It's a suicide mission, but she has nothing to lose.
The only problem? There's a new threat in the galaxy. One with a power unlike anything anyone has ever seen. One that's been waiting for this moment for a very, very, long time. And they want Abbey, too.
Be careful what you wish for.
