First, I'm sorry. I was terrible and didn't comment back on my blog to those who did comment last week. I'll do my best to respond this week. Even starting Tuesday I should be better. Why you ask?
Tadda! I hit the 50k on Nanowrimo last night! :D I'm excited as I have a little more to write for this phase of the project. I have one more scene to write tonight and I'll verify my numbers. Whoot, whoot! **do a little dance**
What's next? Well, that's the question. I've got the writing in my schedule so I want to now keep it there. I plan on trying to rip apart and redo last years Nano project. I'll see what I can come up with. That is the project for 2013, to try to get a working draft of Alena from 2011 Nano. If I can get through Alena to a point I like, maybe I can work on Cursed, by the Rain toward end of the year 2013. We'll see.
I started reading another book. I figured at this point in my Nano project it wouldn't hurt. It won't influence what I'm working on at this point, it's already down hill to the battle now. ;) But I've been slow at getting anywhere with Thanksgiving festivities for to many days.
I'm going to take the rest of the week and try to get things lined up for December and start a few posts that I have ideas on. Maybe even get some reading in. So, I'll still not really be around until the first week of December.

Received Last Week:
I won this one from Blodeuedd at Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell in her giveaway.
London, December 1563. England is a troubled nation. Catholic plots against the young Queen Elizabeth spring up all over the country. At his house in the parish of St Bride, the herald William Harvey – known to everyone as Clarenceux - receives a book from his friend and fellow Catholic, Henry Machyn. But Machyn is in fear of his life, claiming that the book is deadly... What secret can it hold? And then Clarenceux is visited by the State in the form of Francis Walsingham and his ruthless enforcers, who will stop at nothing to gain possession of it. If Clarenceux and his family are to survive the terror of Walsingham, and to plead with the queen’s Secretary of State Sir William Cecil for their lives, Clarenceux must solve the clues contained in the book to unlock its dangerous secrets before it’s too late. And when he does, he realises that it's not only his life and the lives of those most dear to him that are at stake...
All these I purchased with the $50 Amazon card I won from author Douglas R. Brown's giveaway.
A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper
Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light.” But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.
A Kingdom's Fall by Douglas R. Brown
That which survives the initial assault may yet die from the infection left behind.
In the destroyed country of Lithia, the former Gildonese leader of the Lowlands, King Fice, has violently assumed the throne, filling the void left by the Tek destruction of the country. His unnatural powers of sway have become more potent and his influence is far-reaching.
The Tek invasion has also left a void within the kingdom of Epertase. The war has tested the once-great people and, with the venomous words of men Queen Alina considers friends, Epertase descends into revolution. Alina barely escapes with her life.
Once again, the kingdom needs a savior.
And once again Rasi will be forced to unleash the darker part of himself in order to save the woman he loves.
All is not what it seems. Victory may still mean defeat. The war for Epertase has only begun.
Born and raised in the squalid depths of the Free City of Ness, Malden became a thief by necessity. Now he must pay a fortune to join the criminal operation of Cutbill, lord of the underworld—and one does not refuse the master . . . and live.
The coronet of the Burgrave would fulfill Malden’s obligations, though it is guarded by hungry demons that would tear the soul from any interloper. But the desperate endeavor leads to a more terrible destiny, as Malden, an outlaw knight, and an ensorcelled lady must face the most terrifying evil in the land.
EVERY GIRL WHO HAS TAKEN THE TEST HAS DIED.
NOW IT'S KATE'S TURN.
It's always been just Kate and her mom--and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear that her mother won't live past the fall.
Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld--and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.
Kate is sure he's crazy--until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she suceeds, she'll become Henry's future bride and a goddess.
IF SHE FAILS...
For my son I got the following. (Okay, for me too)
Seth Crow has lived a thousand lives, and in each one he's been murdered before he turns thirteen.
And now he's being hunted again. But this time it's different.
Enter Lily, who tells him of his fate: Seth is CONQUEST. The first of the four riders of the Apocalypse. And people want him dead, before he can fulfil his destiny.
Seth's only hope lies in finding the other riders - Strife, Famine and Death.
Together, the fate of the world lies in their hands ...
They told him his uncle died in a car accident. Fourteen-year-old Alex knows that's a lie, and the bullet holes in his uncle's windshield confirm his suspicions. But nothing prepares him for the news that the uncle he always thought he knew was really a spy for MI6--Britain's top secret intelligence agency. Recruited to find his uncle's killers and complete his final mission, Alex suddenly finds himself caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse.
So, hope you all are doing amazing and if you celebrated Thanksgiving, that you had a great time with friends and family.
How did you week go last week? How does the new week look for you?
